Airport App
For this project, I was tasked with designing a FIDS (Flight Information Display System) for the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Below is documentation of my journey to the final result.
Research and benchmarking
This is a collection of images I found to inspire my work. I decided my target audience would be middle-aged businesspeople who are looking to get places with efficiency and peace of mind.

Typeface Exploration
Here I discovered different typefaces, families, and sizes to see what would work best for my design.

After trying these typefaces in my different ideations, I picked Almanach as the typeface I went forward with. This is because the Almanach type family went well with the simplistic and modern design I was going for.
Interface Parts and whole
Below are some sketches of my system parts and buttons as well as rough ideations of possible layouts.

Color Studies and Ideations
Color palettes I tried and examples of how I implemented them to both the parts and the whole.

Critique and refinement

Notes from peers about possible changes and iterations of my chosen direction.

Final results and prototype
Flight info, arrivals, and departures pages
Below are images of my final screens with a visual of a drop-down, including the buttons for every drop-down and closed flight option.
